Cybersecurity Summer Internship Opportunity
About the Internship
This summer, Gwinnett County Public Schools will launch an immersive internship program tailored for graduating seniors from the Grayson Technical Education Cybersecurity Program. This dynamic opportunity places students inside the school district's cybersecurity operations center (CSOC), where they will monitor threats in real time, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain exposure to enterprise-grade security tools and processes.
The internship will provide graduating seniors with the skills, confidence, and insight to launch successful cybersecurity careers in an increasingly digital world. The internship will commence on June 16, 2025, through August 29, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants interested in the internship program must satisfy the following qualifications to be eligible for selection:
- Be a current senior enrolled in the Grayson Technical Education Cybersecurity Program.
- Earn the CompTIA Security+ certification during the end-of-course assessment time period.
- Agree to be present for the entire length of the internship program. Please note that this internship is in-person only; remote or hybrid participation is not available.
Final selections for the internship program will be facilitated through a lottery process. All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and register during the application window will have an equal opportunity to be selected.
Lottery Process
The application opens at 8:00 a.m. on April 4, 2025. All applications must be received no later than April 18, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Your application must be submitted in its entirety to be considered for the internship.
The lottery will take place on April 21, 2025.
Five students who meet the qualifications will be selected for the internship. Others will be placed on a waitlist. You must accept your offer by Friday, April 25 at 4:59 p.m. EST .
After obtaining your CompTIA Security+ certification, you are required to submit the documentation for final confirmation to the Grayson Tech Cybersecurity Program Director.
